Optimo Care Group continues Specialist Care expansion with Abbey Care acquisition
Optimo Care Group (“Optimo”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Abbey Care and Nursing @Home Limited (“Abbey Care” or “the Company”).
Based in Sheffield, Abbey Care is a supported living and specialist care provider established in 2007 by Mick and Mandy Abbey who have grown and developed the business into one of the leading providers in the South Yorkshire region.
Operating across Sheffield, Abbey Care provides a range of care services specialising in supported living to individuals with complex care needs. Abbey Care currently employs in the region of 110 staff, all of whom will remain with the business with plans established to further increase the size of the team through further expansion of its services. Optimo has also acquired a portfolio of Supported Living properties across the Sheffield region as part of this deal.
Optimo Care Group was co-founded by Mark Hales and Richard Walker in 2010 with a single vision in mind – to create high quality, progressive and a well reputed family of care services across the North of England. Optimo aim to provide person centred care and support in ways which have positive outcomes for service users and deliver a service to be proud of.
The Group is made up of a number of subsidiaries, and delivers around 25,000 hours of care per week, employing over 1,100 people, operating across the North of England. This deal follows on from Optimos recent run of seven acquisitions over the past 12 months and continues their expansion across the UK.
