Given that you are sending workers into the homes what checks do you carry out on them?
All staff are required to go through a robust selection process. Once a candidate has been identified as potentially suitable they are required to have an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB)carried out, their names are checked against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults register (POVA)a Department of Health administered list, and they are required to provide two references both of which must be validated. As a final check no candidate is permitted to start work for the Group until their personnel file has been checked by a Senior Manager.
